Trident LDO Low-Discharge PCB Cleaner

The fully automatic Trident LDO defluxing system delivers powerful, cost-efficient cleaning for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) by removing all post-reflow flux, solder paste residues, contaminants, and particulates. Its built-in wash-solution reuse system cuts cleaning chemistry costs by up to 95%, maximizing efficiency while minimizing waste.

Designed for high throughput, Trident LDO features a fast cycle time, ensuring more assemblies are cleaned, tested, and dried per shift than any other automated defluxing system. As a low-discharge solution, it captures and recycles wash solution, limiting effluent discharge to only rinse water. Additionally, a built-in pre-drain filtration system automatically filters rinse water, ensuring compliance with environmental and industry standards.

Trident LDO: Advanced PCB Cleaning & Defluxing

The Trident LDO is engineered for high-performance PCB cleaning and defluxing, making it ideal for densely populated boards and low-standoff surface mount (SMT) components. Its asymmetrical fan-jet spray system delivers precision-diffused wash solution and rinse water to concentrated areas, ensuring deep under-component penetration and eliminating shadowing with an oscillating board rack.

Trident LDO efficiently removes all flux types, including water-soluble, rosin, and no-clean, from SMT, through-hole, and mixed-technology assemblies. It also eliminates fabrication residues and contaminants from the assembly process. Whether cleaning eutectic (SnPb) or lead-free solder residues, Trident LDO handles both separately or within the same batch.

Featuring an on-board cleanliness tester, the system continuously monitors and controls cleanliness levels in real time, automatically adjusting the process to ensure every board meets or exceeds programmed cleanliness standards—delivering consistent, high-quality results with every cycle.

Intelligent Chemical Management & Real-Time Monitoring

Trident’s automated chemical management system eliminates the need for manual measuring, mixing, or handling of defluxing chemicals by precisely dosing and mixing solutions automatically. This ensures consistent cleaning performance while reducing chemical waste and operator intervention.

Operators can monitor estimated completion time, cleanliness values, and operating temperatures in real time on the system’s intuitive display. Built-in gauges provide instant status updates on water line, spray manifold, and pre-drain filter pressures, while the wash solution tank features a level gauge with a low-level alarm to prevent interruptions. The stainless steel concentrated wash solution holding tank is also equipped with a fluid level gauge for added control.

To streamline maintenance, Trident’s reminder software tracks usage counts for key components, automatically alerting operators when service is needed. Once the administrator-defined cycle limit is reached, counters turn red, ensuring proactive maintenance and optimal system performance.

Advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) for Traceability & Tracking

Trident LDO’s Statistical Process Control (SPC) data recording provides comprehensive traceability by automatically tracking cleaning program names, process times, temperatures, set and actual cleanliness levels, and other critical metrics. This ensures consistent performance, compliance, and quality assurance across every batch.

Operators can view SPC data in real time on-screen, send reports to a networked printer, or export data to USB or another computer via secure network protocols for seamless integration with quality management systems.
