Internal Automatic Spray Fluxer
The 28.400 wave solder machine features an advanced internal automatic spray fluxing system designed for precise, even application of flux. A precision spray nozzle assembly, mounted on a reciprocating Y-axis drive mechanism, ensures consistent flux distribution and thorough through-hole penetration. The system automatically adjusts to accommodate different PCB sizes, utilizing a high-precision, low-pressure atomizer for optimal coating without excess flux waste.
For manufacturers working with multiple flux types, the optional dual fluxer system enables instant, mess-free switching between flux formulations. Equipped with two independent nozzles, flux tanks, and delivery lines, the dual fluxer eliminates cross-contamination, ensuring seamless transitions between production runs without the need for time-consuming cleanups.

Precision Preheating & Conveyor System
After flux application, boards pass through a two-zone high-capacity 4.2' (1300 mm) forced hot air convection preheat system with independent zone temperature controls. This allows for precise thermal profiling, ensuring proper flux activation and optimal solder wetting as assemblies enter the wave module. For assemblies sensitive to temperature differentials between the top and bottom sides, an optional top-side preheater can be added for additional profiling control.
The 28.400 wave solder machine includes a motorized PCB conveyor width adjustment ranging from 2"-15.75” (50-400 mm) to reduce setup time and eliminate operator inconsistencies. An aluminum-alloy pin-type conveyor input mechanism feeds the dual-titanium-finger conveyor, which features a built-in finger cleaner, closed-loop speed control, and overload protection. The conveyor angle is adjustable from 4° to 7°, and the variable speed setting ranges from 20"-87"/min (500-2200 mm/min) for optimized throughput. To ensure planarity and prevent sagging of oversized boards, an optional center PCB support rail can be added.

Versatile Dual-Wave Soldering for Any Assembly
The 28.400 wave solder machine is designed for through-hole, surface mount, and mixed-technology assemblies, offering dual-wave configuration for superior soldering performance. The chip wave can be easily deactivated via the user interface for non-SMT applications, while an optional oscillating wave enhances hole fill and bridge reduction for challenging board designs. To optimize performance, the adjustable maximum wave width—paired with an optional wave reducer mechanism—helps minimize dross formation and adapt to varying PCB dimensions.
Built for efficiency and precision, the 28.400 features board interval sensing for automated wave activation and an energy-saving standby mode to further reduce dross. Its solder module is powered by two transducer-controlled 1/4 HP motors, ensuring consistent and uniform wave heights. The heavy-duty solder pot, mounted on a roll-out carriage assembly, allows for easy maintenance and quick access. Additionally, an optional second pot with a quick-connect socket is available for seamless conversion between lead-based and lead-free solders.

Automate Production with Inlet and Unload Conveyors
Manncorp's WL-100M-L1 Wave Solder Loader inlet conveyor and WU-120M-H1 Wave Soldering Belt Unloader are specifically designed to enhance the efficiency of wave soldering systems.
The WL-100M-L1 Wave Solder Loader is a fully adjustable, chain-type inlet conveyor that seamlessly feeds assemblies up to 13.78" (350 mm) wide directly into the wave solder machine. It features adjustable travel speed, conveyor angle, and height, all housed in a heavy-duty aluminum construction for durability and reliability.
For post-soldering handling, the WU-120M-H1 Wave Soldering Belt Unloader features a non-slip, heat-resistant belt that safely transfers soldered assemblies from the wave soldering equipment. With adjustable height, angle, and speed, it ensures a smooth and efficient workflow. The speed is variable from 1.5 to 26.2 ft/min (500 - 800 mm/min), allowing for precise control as PCBs move from the wave soldering system to operators or downstream handling equipment.
