Complete Cleaning/Defluxing
The newest in a well-established line of automatic batch aqueous cleaners/defluxers that feature fully automated washing, rinsing and drying of printed circuit boards (PCBs), Trident ZDO removes both flux—water soluble, no clean, and rosin—and residues from SMT, through-hole, and mixed-technology circuit board assemblies quickly, safely, and effectively.
During the wash cycle, the system's asymmetrical fan-jet spray system delivers precision-diffused wash solution to soften residues. The unique design of the fan-jet nozzles, coupled with the oscillating board rack, ensures complete spray coverage even on densely populated, low-standoff SMT assemblies. The rinse cycle then removes both the wash solution and contamination from the assembly, achieving the same impingement as the wash cycle to get into the most hard-to-clean areas.
At the end of the process, Trident ZDO's combination of forced hot air convection and radiant drying technologies quickly, safely and thoroughly dries assemblies.
Results Guaranteed
An on-board cleanliness tester controls the cleaning process, ensuring a cleanliness level for every board that meets or exceeds the programmed setting. Additionally, a built-in digital resistivity meter provides real-time monitoring and display of the actual cleanliness of the water. Cleanliness levels and other vital process data are recorded in the system's statistical process control (SPC) software.
Trident ZDO is operated through its 16" (406 mm) touchscreen monitor, which can be used with ESD gloves, finger cots or bare fingers. All process data is viewable in real time. Unlimited cleaning programs may be stored. Multi-level password protection can be set to prevent unauthorized changes to programs or system settings.
